Join children's ministry leaders to explore food poverty and how small acts done in great love can affect change. We will read the book Lulu and the Hunger Monster while we enjoy a sack lunch at church. The book emphasizes how children who experience food scarcity are all around us, but can be difficult to recognize. Equipped with a deeper understanding and compassion, we will then travel to a grocery store to purchase snacks for our local Title-I neighborhood school. (Children ages 0-5 with parent/guardian participation. Children ages 6 and up are welcome to attend without parental supervision, though parents are always welcome.)
