Sophie grew up at Mission of the Atonement/Spirit of Grace and is now doing a year of accompaniment in Palestine with the Young Adults In Global Mission (YAGM) program of the ELCA. She is staying with a family in the West Bank town of Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem, where she is teaching English as a second language.
