Many of us came to Spirit of Grace in search of a meaningful personal relationship with God. We stay because we found an open and supportive environment to explore our questions, find answers and live the spirit-filled life you ask of us. Some of our actions have brought us into conflict with more traditional faith views. Recently Kris Davis and I, while exploring a local bookstore, came upon a sticker that struck a chord with us. It said, “They tried to bury us; they didn’t know we were seeds.”
Let us pray.
Creator of all things, you challenge us to envision a new, more perfect world. One that is inclusive, justice seeking, forward thinking, and loving. You have assured us that we are in Your care always. Just as You provided manna from heaven and quail to feed our ancestors, sustain us now. Help us to remember You walk beside us as we discern a new relationship with You and our role in creating a more perfect world. Using our time, talents, and treasure, let us be the seeds that provide strong roots to grow the changes You envision. Amen.
