"The Palestine Exception" Documentary & Discussion

The Palestine Exception is a searing and unflinchingly honest account of what it means to stand for something, and the immense consequences of speaking up. This is a vital documentary for our present moment, but also a terrifying look at how institutional power has always tried – and will always try – to enforce silence on every last one of its critics. – Omar El Akkad, Novelist and Journalist, author of “One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This”

Join us to view this documentary, followed by a Q&A with film producer Marlene Eid. Visit https://palestineexceptionfilm.com/ for more information on the film. Donations welcome. Sponsored by the Holy Land Ministry at Spirit of Grace, and Friends of Sabeel-Portland Metro Chapter.

Spirit of Grace @ Beaverton PRIDE!

This is a fun opportunity to be an affirming faith community within a space full of LGBTQIA+ joy. Some of our newer members found us at PRIDE! With the targeting of trans and nonbinary folks in our country, now is the time to celebrate queerness and remind people that God's love is much bigger than the gender binary. We will have a button maker for folks to make their own pronoun pins or button designs of any kind, as well as stickers, temporary tattoos, and information about Spirit of Grace and Queer Grace.

Please consider spending an hour or two at the booth this year! We could really use some help in the later part of the day. Remember to wear your Spirit of Grace T-shirt if you have one! Sign up here!
